Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and review commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, employment agreements, lease deeds, warrant agreements, and assignment agreements.
- Provide legal and compliance advice on corporate and commercial laws, labor laws, statutory approvals, and filings.
- Issue legal opinions and memorandums on various commercial and corporate law matters across diverse sectors.
- Collaborate on mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions as part of a team.
- Participate in legal due diligence exercises, managing various sections and ensuring comprehensive analysis.
- Draft and review transaction documents such as share purchase agreements, share subscription agreements, shareholder agreements, joint venture agreements, escrow agreements, and term sheets.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal issues and developments in the field of law.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or an MBA.
Preferred skills:
- Possess prior experience or knowledge in Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Customs regulations.
- Familiarity with previous indirect taxation systems such as Sales Tax, Service Tax, and Central Excise is desirable.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Possess good analytical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficient in using MS Excel and MS Word.
