Key Responsibilities:
- Work on complex systems with fabric-based, multi-line card hybrid architecture that support high-availability, carrier-grade requirements for scale and performance.
- Contribute to software design, development, code reviews, validation, and documentation to ensure high-quality, functionally robust products.
- Participate in software characterization, post-analysis, and presentations.
- Develop features across systems including packet switching, routing, data plane, and device drivers.
- Drive improvements in software functionality and performance.
- Identify issues and collaborate with team members to drive timely resolutions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong coding skills, preferably in C/C++ and/or Python.
- Experience with Linux-based workstations is an asset.
- Exposure to embedded systems and device drivers is a plus.
- Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting on Linux platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of real-world network topologies in Carrier/Metro Ethernet is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Python, XML, YANG, JSON, and Golang is a plus.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and architecture.
- Experience with development tools such as Git and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of Linux Kernel, Docker containers, TCP/IP stack, forwarding tables, IP filters, VLANs, and memory management.
- Proficient in using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and handling large data sets (sorting, filtering, graphing).
- A strong willingness to learn and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
