Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire and aggregate data from primary and secondary sources, maintaining the data model.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in underwriting data.
- Create visualizations, dashboards, and reports to present insights and findings to stakeholders and management.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to support data-driven decision-making.
- Analyze and interpret reports and data to effectively position recommendations for increasing profitability.
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reports on industry performance, underwriting trends, and portfolio steering indicators.
Eligibility Criteria:
- University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Demonstrated ability in a role analyzing significant data volumes.
- Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in meeting business requirements with technology solutions and supporting those applications/solutions.
- Proficient in SQL, at least one programming language (e.g., Python), and reporting/data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau/Power BI).
- Passionate about Agile principles and excited to integrate them into daily work.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a dedication to uncovering better ways of working.
- “Can do” mentality and willingness to learn new technologies to continuously upskill.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and apply sound commercial judgment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Basic knowledge of (re)insurance concepts is a plus.
