Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Barclays Financial Assistance applications and tools.
- Deliver software changes through high-quality, performant, and bug-free code.
- Conduct impact assessments for units of work and software code deliverables.
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders.
- Write low-level design documents including pseudo code.
- Conduct code and design reviews, establishing and maintaining standards.
- Mentor junior colleagues, providing guidance on coding and unit test case writing.
- Support quality gates to ensure successful deployment of changes to production.
- Collaborate with the team, including permanent members and SI partners, to achieve team objectives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX commands, and shell scripting.
- Understanding of ETL processes, REST APIs, microservices, and DevOps toolkits.
- Familiarity with multiple development methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Experience in database migration.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools and processes, such as GIT.
- Working knowledge of Tivoli Workload Scheduler.
