Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a prototype as a Software Engineer intern to evaluate the security of Identity Providers (IDPs) such as Okta and Ping Identity.
- Identify and rectify misconfigurations that may pose cyberattack risks, thereby minimizing the potential for data breaches and unauthorized access to customer data.
- Utilize Java proficiency to craft tools for analyzing network traffic, implementing secure logging mechanisms, and creating automated security testing utilities.
- Integrate secure communication protocols like HTTPS and SSH, while harnessing Java security libraries and frameworks to fortify security functionalities and mitigate risks.

Eligibility Criteria:
- The ideal candidate should currently be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation in 2024.
- They should demonstrate programming experience in languages like Java, Python, or Go.
- Additionally, they should have a solid understanding of core computer science concepts, including object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
- Essential skills include proficiency in Core Java, a fundamental understanding of Java Frameworks, and knowledge of Database Concepts and Version Control Systems.
- Desired qualities in potential candidates include strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of web development.
Preferred skills:
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of algorithm design and data structures.
