Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the fundamental operations of AXP and the factors influencing various decisions.
- Analyze extensive datasets to extract actionable business insights and devise creative solutions.
- Utilize the closed-loop capability of the Amex network to enhance the intelligence and relevance of decision-making processes.
- Drive innovation by exploring and implementing advanced big data and machine learning techniques.
- Effectively communicate and structure business findings pertaining to both potential and existing customers to senior leadership and strategic partners.
- Stay informed about industry developments in Finance, Payments, Analytics, and related fields to maintain an external perspective.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possession of an MBA, Master’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 0-30 months of experience in analytics and big data workstreams (24-48 months of experience required for Senior Analyst position).
- Capability to lead project deliverables towards achieving business objectives.
- Proficiency in collaborative work within a team setting.
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Innovative problem-solving skills coupled with rapid learning aptitude, enabling effective independent work on complex, unstructured initiatives.
- Capacity to collaborate with cross-functional business partners globally.
- Proficiency in SAS, R, Python, Hive, Spark, and SQL.
- Familiarity with a range of unsupervised and supervised techniques including active learning, transfer learning, neural models, decision trees, reinforcement learning, graphical models, Gaussian processes, Bayesian models, and MapReduce techniques, as well as attribute engineering.
