Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions, focusing on developing reusable workflows.
- Create containers (e.g., Dockerfile) and YAML configuration files for npm serverless (e.g., AWS Lambda) to facilitate the deployment of data science applications.
- Collaborate with data scientists through pair programming to operationalize Python code, ensuring its quality and maintainability, and enforcing standards using tools such as pytest, pylint, bandit, safety, radon, and memray.
- Utilize poetry for dependency management, including installation and publishing to EXTRA_INDEX_URLs.
- Offer support for analytics projects by optimizing infrastructure, automating repetitive tasks, and enhancing performance.
- Adapt to various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies as required by different projects, ensuring effective collaboration and project management.
- Engage in pair programming sessions with data scientists to facilitate the creation of unit and integration tests, enforce code quality, and identify opportunities for performance improvements.
- Manage and optimize package management systems to ensure the availability and version control of project dependencies.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred skills:
- Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer, specializing in supporting data science and analytics projects.
- Proficient in continuous integration and continuous development, particularly utilizing GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and serverless computing platforms such as AWS Lambda.
- Expertise in Python coding and optimization within Python frameworks.
- Familiarity with private registries and proficient in managing package management systems.
- Comfortable engaging in pair programming and collaborative development practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adeptness in working within dynamic, cross-functional teams.
