Key Responsibilities:
- Support the testing team in creating and reviewing test plans, including defining test objectives, strategies, and scope.
- Aid in the creation of test cases based on requirements and design documents. This includes writing detailed test steps, expected outcomes, and preconditions.
- Participate in executing test cases manually or using automated testing tools. Record test results accurately, including any defects found during testing.
- Help in documenting and tracking defects discovered during testing using designated defect tracking tools. Assist in defect triage meetings to prioritize and assign defects for resolution.
- Contribute to regression testing efforts by rerunning test cases on modified or updated software to ensure no new defects have been introduced.
- Support in creating and maintaining test data sets required for testing activities, ensuring data integrity and relevance to test scenarios.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and discuss issues. Communicate test progress, results, and any roadblocks encountered to the testing team.
