Key Responsibilities:
- The Transportation Team seeks a dedicated software programmer analyst tasked with liaising between business operations and shipping carriers to gather requirements and facilitate integration with transportation technology teams.
- This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining transportation documents such as shipping labels, carrier electronic manifests, and invoices.
- Additionally, you will collaborate with development teams on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects, contributing to software updates/enhancements, automating manual configuration processes, and documenting systems as necessary.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on CS Fundamentals including Data Structures, Algorithms, Problem Solving, and Coding.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java (preferred), C++, or C#, or proficiency in scripting languages such as SQL, Perl, Python, XML, or Ruby.
- Capable of writing clean code to solve basic data structures problems and algorithms using any programming or scripting language.
- Familiarity with best practices in software engineering, including design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operations.
- Ability to comprehend and troubleshoot complex code, debugging application-level issues or internal tool issues with minimal guidance.
- Aptitude for devising simple solutions without unnecessary complexity.
Preferred skills:
- Possess at least 1 year of experience in software development and managing highly scalable systems.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of medium to complex issues.
- Have exposure to AWS Technologies including AWS S3, Dynamo DB, and others.
- Exhibit the ability to thoroughly comprehend the business objectives pertinent to your team and stakeholders’ teams, and understand how applications or tools contribute to achieving these objectives.
