Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate understanding among stakeholders regarding the capabilities of data science and establish appropriate expectations.
- Analyze extensive datasets, implement solutions, and deploy them as required.
- Communicate results and recommendations effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- Assess the efficiency of solutions and strive for continuous improvement.
- Require a blend of robust technical expertise, comprehension of business implications, and empathy towards users to enhance PhonePe’s service quality. Additionally, mentor junior team members to enhance their proficiency in data science.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, statistics, engineering, or applied mathematics.
- Possesses 1-3 years of relevant professional experience.
Preferred skills:
- Mastery of programming languages such as Java, Python, R, and shell scripting.
- Proficiency in querying relational, non-relational, and graph databases.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, MapReduce, Pig, Hive.
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries (especially in Python), including structured, text, and video data, as well as deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Proficiency in utilizing visualization libraries.
- Hands-on experience with source control and deployment tools like Git, Jenkins, etc.
