Key Responsibilities:
- Providing support for Data Center (DC) infrastructure equipment, including racks, servers, networking devices, hardware components, and cables.
- Executing routine operational tasks on hardware, operating systems, or spare parts based on instructions, such as rack installation, server maintenance, and rack decommissioning.
- Adhering to well-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for hardware component replacement or media spare handling.
- Collaborating within a team to perform similar tasks and ensuring smooth handoffs of work during shift changes.
- Assessing the severity of issues and working towards resolution within specified Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Documenting work activities in a ticket tracking system and managing inventory, including identification, receipt, and deployment of hardware components.
- Following established information security policies and physical safety practices while performing duties.
- Promptly escalating deviations from established processes or procedures as necessary.
- Providing escort services for visitors or contractors at the site when required.
- Representing AWS professionally as a member of the global support team and adhering to inclusive work practices.
- Adhering to safety guidelines, including the ability to lift and rack equipment up to 18kg, and working in confined spaces or elevated locations.
- Participating in 24×7 shift rotation to ensure continuous coverage and support.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Completion of STEM classes or vocational courses in the curriculum.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years or older.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week, with willingness to work overtime when necessary.
- Flexibility to work 10-hour shifts as required.
- Experience in managing tasks and priorities using a ticketing system and coordinating with managers.
Preferred skills:
- Familiarity with computer hardware components and operating systems.
