Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct code reviews, develop unit tests, and actively participate in architectural planning and refactoring processes.
- Address bug fixes and enhance application performance through dedicated work efforts.
- Innovate and implement new features and enhancements specifically tailored for the Android platform.
- Provide mentorship to interns and offer support to fellow team members as needed.
- Foster close collaboration with Quality Assurance (QA) personnel, Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers throughout the organization.
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork to conceptualize, design, and deploy novel features that align with organizational objectives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Completion of BE/BTech/BCA/BSc in any field of study.
- At least 1 year of practical experience in a relevant position.
Preferred skills:
- Demonstrated experience in developing two or more Android applications previously.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, and familiarity with the Android ecosystem.
- Knowledge of Material Design principles, prevalent mobile UX patterns, and avoidance of anti-patterns.
- Hands-on experience with popular Android libraries such as Retrofit, OkHttp, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, Arch-components, etc.
- Proficiency in various programming paradigms, particularly functional and reactive programming.
- Understanding of REST API consumption and the principles of RESTfulness.
- Familiarity with Git version control and continuous integration practices.
- Mastery of object-oriented programming principles and multi-threading concepts.
- Proficient comprehension of advanced Android topics like Custom Views, Accessibility Services, and background processing APIs.
- Familiarity with different architectural patterns, especially MVVM, and their testability aspects.
- Expertise in debugging techniques, including the identification of memory leaks, performance bottlenecks, and utilization of tools like ADB, Proguard, etc.
- Ability to discern between good and poor design choices.
- Capability to write clean, maintainable code that facilitates collaboration with others.
- Bonus points for having apps published on the Play Store.
