Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for conducting functional analysis of business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and providing techno-functional solutions to meet business needs.
- Analysis tasks may include data modeling, assessing data quality and coverage, defining ETL processes, and specifying data distribution requirements.
- Provide high-quality functional specifications to Developers and support all stages of development, including SIT Testing, UAT testing, Release, and Post-Release validations.
- Offer functional analysis support for operational and technical processes, communicate with stakeholders, understand business needs for change or BAU escalation support, capture analysis, and document requirements in an Agile environment.
- Collaborate with Agile team members to assist leads and translate functional vision into actionable tasks.
- Contribute to a team that engages with data vendors for changes to specifications and data content.
- Demonstrate a track record of successfully delivering excellent service as part of a team under challenging circumstances.
- Embrace a team-player mentality and commit to developing a culture of transparency, integrity, and collaboration where all team members are motivated and inspired to achieve the required outcomes, considering risk and process optimization factors.
- Ensure the adoption of the highest standard of risk control throughout the team, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Systems or Finance.
- Possesses domain knowledge of Instrument and Price Reference Data, Vendor data from Bloomberg/Reuters/Rating Agencies/Stock Exchanges, Corporate Actions processing, Regulatory Reporting, Static and Timeseries feed processing.
- Familiarity with financial instruments such as stocks, equity indices ETFs, bonds, convertible bonds, options, futures, forwards, IRS, Equity swaps, OTC Derivatives.
- Knowledgeable about data standards concepts, including data quality management, metadata management, DQ business rules, and functional rules.
- Technically qualified with experience in PL/SQL and Scripting Languages like Perl, Java, Unix shell script, etc.
- Experienced in complex data analysis, data lineage workflow analysis, and data modeling.
- Ideally, the candidate will have experience with Master Data Management enterprise solutions, including off-the-shelf applications like Asset Control (Alveo), GoldenSource EDM, FAME (Forecasting Analysis and Modelling Environment), or in-house applications like Enterprise Security Master.
Preferred skills:
- Possesses experience working in an Investment bank.
- Highly desirable knowledge in the Reference Data domain, specifically in Products and Pricing.
- Exposure to both Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experienced in working as part of a global team, following a follow-the-sun model.
