Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to sustainable processes in supporting operational requirements for Global Banking and Markets Audit, managing risks associated with analytic performance, such as cross-border data transfer.
• Expand knowledge of data sources, structures, and metadata across selected Lines of Business or Functions and regions for potential use by Audit teams.
• Develop, build, and deliver data analytics solutions to fulfill the requirements of Global Internal Audit (GIA).
• Employ an agile, iterative, and adaptive approach in the development/delivery of audit technology solutions, ensuring timely responsiveness to GIA needs and maximizing value.
• Ensure compliance with the requirements outlined in the Global Internal Audit Instruction Manual.
• Facilitate discussions and collaborate with GIA teams to identify areas where technology/automated analytical tools can enhance value, utilizing existing data to improve audit tests and knowledge.
• Utilize networks to source data as required, adhering to HSBC policy and relevant regulations, particularly those related to cross-border data transfer.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in information systems, accounting, mathematics, quantitative, numerical science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred skills:

• Have experience with Business Intelligence, analytical and visualization tools, ETL, and programming languages such as Python, R, SAS, SQL, QlikSense, and Tableau.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, including HTML and CSS, would be advantageous.
• Exhibit strong analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate experience in designing and implementing advanced data analytics solutions, incorporating data science techniques.
• Display enthusiasm, collaboration, and a customer-oriented approach.
• While external or internal audit experience would be beneficial, it is not essential.
• Be resourceful and results-driven.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
