Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, enhance, and test financial software applications in MIS Tech, primarily utilizing Java/J2EE technologies.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills to create solutions for business requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous development of web applications based on service-oriented architecture, encompassing UI, Services, and databases.
- Collaborate with development team leads/architects to determine technical and architectural directions for projects, working closely with business analysts, developers, and QA analysts (both in-house and vendor).
- Evaluate functional requirements for new requests and translate them into meaningful design and development tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, globally dispersed development teams to support development efforts aligned with business requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation and procedures for the installation and maintenance of software applications.
- Participate actively in design, architecture, and code reviews within a collaborative development environment.
- Operate within an Agile environment, monitoring and tracking progress toward key deliverables.
- Provide Production Support for applications, assisting the team in resolving Production Incidents, conducting root cause analysis, implementing code defect fixes, and performing data analysis and troubleshooting.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Computer Science.
- Possess 0-3 years of overall software development experience.
- Have 0-3 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and providing operational support for Java, J2EE, JMS, SOAP/REST, SQL, JSON, and XML-based applications.
Preferred skills:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Object-Oriented design and development principles.
- Bring experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) with a solid understanding of Web Services (REST and SOAP).
- Have hands-on experience with Java-based frameworks, including JPA, Springboot, Spring, Hibernate, etc.
- Demonstrate expertise in Microservices and design patterns.
- Possess experience in Agile Scrum methodologies, with familiarity/experience in other Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approaches.
- Showcase good knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Have experience working with IDE tools such as JBOSS Studio, Eclipse, or similar.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
