Key Responsibilities for Data Scientist:
- Actively support the consulting team throughout various project phases, including problem definition, effort estimation, diagnosis, solution generation, design, and deployment.
- Explore alternative solutions through research, including literature surveys, information from public domains, vendor evaluations, etc., and build proof of concepts (POCs).
- Create requirement specifications derived from business needs, define to-be processes, and develop detailed functional designs based on requirements.
- Assist in configuring solution requirements on the products, address any issues, diagnose root causes, seek clarifications, and identify and shortlist solution alternatives.
- Contribute to unit-level and organizational initiatives, aiming to deliver high-quality, value-adding solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities for Data Engineer:
- Document or guide the documentation of customer processes in a simple as-is format.
- Understand the context of customer requirements from specific engagements and appreciate their nuances.
- Ability to suggest appropriate analytics algorithms based on the business situation, considering fundamental assumptions in the algorithms. Alternatively, collaborate with other data scientists to understand suggested algorithms and provide quality assurance in algorithm choice from a business perspective.
- Align deliverables with customer requirements and provide business acumen to ensure practical and applicable results, avoiding overly theoretical output.
- Engage in conversations with customers, explaining the rationale for the chosen approach, discussing pros and cons, and addressing queries.
- Take responsibility for the successful delivery of Advanced Analytics solutions and services in client consulting environments, with expertise in optimization (linear, mixed integer, constraint programming), simulation, and/or predictive analytics using AAO tools such as SAS or SPSS, and other tools like R and Python.
- Define key business problems, formulate mathematical approaches, gather data, develop solutions, analyze and draw conclusions, and present findings to the client.
Eligibility Criteria:
- BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc/ BCA/ ME/ M.Tech/ M.Sc/ MCA/ MBA
Preferred skills:
- Proficient in statistical analysis tools, including SAS, SPSS, R, and Python.
- Hands-on experience in applying statistical techniques and deep learning, such as Decision Tree, Segmentation, Logistic and Multiple Regression, among others.
- Desirable experience in forecasting, campaign management, and customer segmentation.
- Strong skills in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with database query tools, particularly SQL.
- Basic understanding of data warehouse architecture.
- Knowledge of various analytical tools, platforms, and frameworks.
