Key Responsibilities for Data Analyst:
- Providing original analysis and valuable insights to case teams, often taking ownership of entire or partial analytics modules while collaborating closely with the case team.
- Establishing credibility by engaging in thoughtful discussions with BCG teams on analytics-related matters, and drawing conclusions on a wide range of external and internal issues related to your specific module.
- Effectively communicating analytical insights by skillfully synthesizing and presenting results, which may include creating PowerPoint presentations, dashboards, documents, and charts for consultants. Additionally, collecting, synthesizing, and analyzing the lessons learned from case teams to develop new best practices and methodologies.
- Ensuring proper approval and validation before uploading materials to the internal repository for future reference, as well as maintaining confidentiality by sanitizing sensitive client content in marketing documents.
- Developing a deep expertise in at least one analytics topic or platform.
- Executing analytical approaches and delivering well-defined outcomes, making significant contributions to the selection of approaches.
Key Responsibilities for Research Associate:
- Ensuring the accurate and flawless completion of research requests.
- Developing expertise in utilizing a diverse array of research resources, information portals, and methodologies to produce high-quality research outputs.
- Displaying the capability to synthesize and present research findings effectively, drawing insightful conclusions, and packaging the results in a clear and organized manner that directly tackles the problem at hand.
- Actively participating in the creation of BCG publications and internal materials when opportunities arise.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field related to business analytics, statistics, geostatistics, economics, operations research, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum requirement of an undergraduate degree, preferably in disciplines such as environmental engineering, environmental science, climate change, sustainability, with a strong academic record.
Preferred skills:
- Proficiency in practical data mining and predictive modeling, which includes tasks like clustering and classification using decision trees, linear/logistic regression, and similar techniques.
- Experience in data visualization using tools like Tableau, QlikView, and Power BI.
- Competence in data management, utilizing platforms such as Alteryx, Microsoft-based solutions, or any Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
- Practical experience in creating analytical solutions and delivering measurable business value to clients in one or more of the following use cases.
