Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements precisely, including health, safety, security, usability, data, and supportability considerations.
  • Translate business requirements into functionality and evaluate the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options.
  • Assess and model processes, data flows, and technology to understand current value and issues and to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create clear documentation to communicate requirements and related information; keep it up to date to ensure alignment with the solution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure requirement traceability from business needs and requirements to final solution via testing and scope changes.
  • Interact with software suppliers, designers, and developers to understand software limitations, deliver elements of system and database design, and ensure that business requirements and use cases are met.
  • Configure and document software and processes in accordance with agreed-upon standards and tools.
  • Define and coordinate testing to define acceptance criteria and validate that solutions meet business needs.
  • Create and present compelling business cases to justify the value of the solution and gain approval, funding, and prioritisation.
  • Begin, plan, execute, monitor, and control Business Analysis activities on projects within agreed-upon cost, time, and quality parameters.
  • Understand and keep up with relevant architectures and technologies in a business area. Investigate potential solutions and novel ideas. Interactions with technology vendors are guided and managed.
  • Lead stakeholder management activities, such as large design sessions.
  • Respond to organisational and environmental changes while activities are in progress.
  • Despite competing objectives, guide business stakeholders to gain acceptance / sign-off.
  • Reduce requirements to the bare minimum that will have the greatest impact on advancing business objectives and gaining end-user support.
  • Describe technology in terms that business customers can understand, and set realistic customer expectations for the project’s outcome. Adjust customer expectations to reflect changes in scope.
  • Create novel solutions to existing problems or new opportunities.
  • Build trust with stakeholders by understanding their goals, motivations, constraints, risks, and operating environment.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Worked on Agile projects and educated stakeholders, including Product Owners and Business Partners, on Agile methods of operation.
  • Understanding of system engineering concepts, as well as data/process analysis and modelling.
  • Excellent leadership, presentation, and communication abilities.
  • Certification as a CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA is preferred.
  • Experience in payments, Treasury (FX and cash management), or Finance operations is preferred.
  • Experience with Swift messages or banking applications such as Trax or Quantum is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in fund management and financial instrument trading – familiar with front and back office functions.
  • Have a thorough understanding of various market feeds, their application, and data modelling for funding decisions.
  • Capable of working closely with various investment portfolio teams and providing consulting services.
  • The candidate should be familiar with the cashflows and lifecycle of OTC derivatives instruments.
  • Understanding of OTC derivatives collateral management.
  • Extensive experience implementing regulatory reporting requirements for at least one jurisdiction, such as EMIR, FCA, MAS, or CFTC.

  • Reporting, analysis, and visualisation of data.
  • The ability to solve problems in a systematic and analytical manner while paying close attention to detail.
  • Understanding of the relationship between business requirements and system capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing abilities.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills that are second to none.
