Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Your primary responsibility is to provide post-sales support and solutions to Oracle customers while also acting as a customer advocate.
• This includes resolving non-technical post-sales customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as technical questions about using and troubleshooting our Electronic Support Services.
• You are in charge of facilitating customer relationships with Support as well as advising and assisting internal Oracle employees on a variety of customer situations and escalated issues.
• You will serve as the technical liaison between customers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) to resolve issues related to Oracle product installation, recommended maintenance, and use.
• Your primary responsibility will be to provide level one support to Oracle Solution Center customers and to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while adhering to guidelines (mostly through electronic means).
• Some problem solving is required, as well as assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Ability to persuade and collaborate with a diverse range of audiences, from executives to technical specialists.
• Outstanding communication abilities. Capable of communicating effectively in high-stress situations, both technically and functionally.
• In tense, escalated situations, be able to produce audience appropriate communication with executives, support personnel, and customer personnel.
• Excellent listening abilities. Capable of identifying core issues in situations where it may be difficult to distinguish between the cause and the symptom.
• Excellent organisational abilities.
• Capable of developing a cohesive plan of action that meets everyone’s needs in order to resolve a given situation as soon as possible.
• Capable of revising this plan as new data becomes available without appearing to have no plan.
• Ability to persevere in the face of adversity and ensure the success of a customer.
• Self-starter who performs well unsupervised or with minimal supervision.
• Attention to Detail (Process orientation preferred).

Technical & Analytical Skills:

• Well-developed troubleshooting skills, the ability to analyse details and synthesise the “big picture,” and the ability to work with incomplete or ambiguous data are all required. Use of industry standard tools in novel ways to aid in the diagnostic process.
• Detailed functional and technical knowledge of multiple modules in one or more of the Oracle Supply Chain Application Suites – Oracle EBusiness Suite.

Preferred skills:

• Technical abilities are required. In the absence of these skills, it is expected that the Engineer will gain an understanding of one or more of these skills as they are required for the role after completing post-hire training in these areas.
• Experience supporting/developing/testing web applications built with frameworks that expose business services via a Model/View/Controller paradigm, such as Oracle ADF, will be an asset.
• SQL knowledge is required. Excellent knowledge of at least one of the following Fusion technologies is required: ADF, BPEL, ODI, SOA, FBDi, Reporting Tools – Fusion BIP/OTBI/FRS
