Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve technical issues for consumers, partners, clients, or internal stakeholders by addressing assigned issues through ticketing systems, adhering to process specifications and operating procedures.
- Collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and troubleshoot/enhance database structures and queries.
- Compose and optimize complex SQL queries.
- Manage SQL code in a source control system.
- Contribute to continual improvement by proposing enhancements, automation, or new technologies.
- Debug and implement database performance monitoring and tuning.
- Manage and resolve production incidents, covering system outages, job failures, system defects, data defects, and end-user support.
- Execute and oversee day-to-day operations via ticketing tools and processes.
- Ensure appropriate tools are updated in accordance with SLA specifications with case notes, status updates, and case closure information.
- Test application features.
- Lead/participate in SQL code reviews.
- Provide technical support, including troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
- Stay current with database and technologies and the direction of the general database industry.
- Offer technical mentoring and coaching for junior and mid-level developers.
Eligibility Criteria:
- B.E./ B.Tech/ MCA or equivalent
Preferred skills:
- Hands-on experience in SQL programming, debugging, performance tuning, database design, table schema, and basic database administration knowledge.
- Proficient in creating packages, stored procedures, cursors, triggers, functions, joins, replication, and modifying SQL scripts in Oracle.
- Experience with database design, data modeling, and data warehousing.
- Strong knowledge of handling cloud-hosted DB models and schemas, including normalization and logical/physical data models.
- Familiarity with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) concepts and database performance tuning.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL, with the ability to analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL is essential.
- Basic familiarity with the UNIX environment.
- Understanding of ETL processes and tools is advantageous.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with clients.
