Key Responsibilities:
- Possess knowledge in Linux/Unix Administration.
- Demonstrate proficiency in networking principles.
- Exhibit familiarity with a wide array of open-source technologies/tools and cloud services.
- Apply best practices and IT operations for maintaining an always-up, always-available service.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Display effective communication skills in English.
- Demonstrate a strong background in Linux networking, including ip, iptables, and ipsec.
- Possess knowledge of working with MySQL databases.
- Exhibit a working understanding of code and scripting languages, with a preference for Perl/Golang.
- Demonstrate proficiency in automation/configuration management using tools such as SaltStack or equivalent.
- Have hands-on experience in both private and public cloud environments.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree
Preferred skills:
- Proficiency in implementing cloud services on Linux using KVM/QEMU.
- Familiarity with DCOS (Mesos & Mesos frameworks).
- Experience with Aerospike (NoSQL database).
- Competency in Perl/Golang programming languages.
- Knowledge of Galera database clustering technology.
- Familiarity with OpenBSD operating system.
- Capability in performing data center-related activities (required on rare occasions).
