Key Responsibilities:
- Source and interpret company and industry information from diverse data sources, including company reports, the internet, online databases, and JPMorgan proprietary content.
- Formulate views on the industry, key trends, individual companies, and identify new clients for the commercial bank.
- Summarize and synthesize news updates and research reports on priority clients, as well as compile weekly industry reports.
- Extract information from company filings, databases, and other sources, utilizing accounting knowledge and judgment.
- Analyze and interpret financial statements to create financial models, conduct working capital analysis, perform peer benchmarking, and conduct other relevant analyses.
- Prepare marketing materials for clients, incorporating components like liquidity analysis, collection and disbursements activity analysis, fraud protection, working capital benchmarking, and pricing.
- Work on credit deals, including industry landscapes, target company profiles, benchmarking, financial statement analysis, risk grading, collateral analysis, and term sheet preparation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Graduated with a degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Economics from a top-tier college.
- Demonstrates an outstanding academic record.
- Proficient in analyzing company financials and conducting financial modeling using Excel.
- Exhibits meticulous attention to detail with the capability to consistently deliver high-standard outputs.
- Possesses effective communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to deliver quality work under pressure.
- Exhibits a strong analytical mindset and expert proficiency in Excel.
Preferred skills:
- Demonstrates excellent organization and project management skills.
- Capable of articulating and illustrating thoughtful rationale in design decisions.
- Expected to possess intermediate-level proficiency in all MS Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Pivot Tables.
- Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work with a high degree of independence.
- Possesses relevant work experience in the banking or credit domain, which is considered a plus.
