Key Responsibilities for Data Scientist Intern:
- Identify predictors and causes of business-related problems and implement novel approaches related to forecasting and prediction.
- Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations.
- Use data analyses and statistical techniques to develop solutions to improve customer experience and to guide business decision making.
- Work with various teams as a leader of quantitative analysis, developing solutions that adhere to the strictest criteria for analytical rigour and data integrity.
- Examine and resolve enterprise issues at the source
Key Responsibilities for Applied Scientist Intern:
- As an Applied Scientist, you will enhance data analytics for customer-facing solutions in intricate industrial settings by utilising statistical modelling and machine learning.
- A dynamic, multidisciplinary team of researchers, including some of the top experts in the field, will be working with you.
- You will take on difficult challenges, identify the true requirements, and then present solutions that either draw on current academic and industrial research or make use of your own creative, practical thinking that thinks outside the box.
- You might even be required to deliver them to production in the form of customer-facing goods in addition to developing original solutions and prototypes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Currently enrolled in degree program (Bachelor’s or MS or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field with specialization in machine learning, NLP, ASR, deep learning, computer vision, data science or related fields.
- Experience with R/SAS/Matlab and SQL – Strong working understanding of Excel.
- Proven track record of providing significant analytical solutions with commercial effect.
- Capacity for problem-solving and an enthusiasm for big data.
- Outstanding interpersonal and data presentation abilities.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Preferred skills:
- Education in data manipulation/transformation, model selection, model training, cross-validation, and large-scale deployment.
- Academic or project experience using MXNet, TensorFlow, Caffe, and PyTorch toolkits for machine and deep learning.
- Academic familiarity with Hadoop and Apache Spark, two popular big data technologies.
- Experience in Python, R, and SQL data processing.
- Data science, computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), and machine learning research experience
