Key Responsibilities:
- Adopt an intensely data driven approach in all technical analysis tasks assigned.
- Keep track on various MI to ensure adherence to SLA’s.
- Contribute to responses involving internal and external / regulatory audit response initiatives and participate in remediation exercises as appropriate.
- Generate quality code output with detailed unit testing.
- Be amenable to working in a high-pressure and time-sensitive environment.
- Take responsibility for rational prioritisation of tasks and ensure adherence to timelines for completion of activities.
- Ensure structured upward and downward communication. Contribute to relevant reporting requirements.
- Work closely with regional and central AFC modelling teams to ensure alignment on tasks and responsibilities.
- Adhere strictly to the bank’s data privacy standards.
- Strong adherence to AFC compliance and governance standards at all times.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Proven ability to manage different stakeholders.
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet sometimes aggressive deadlines.
- Ability to articulate issues in a structured manner, and undertake root cause analysis of problem areas.
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
- Willing to take ownership and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in interpreting regulatory guidelines would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic project management methodologies, covering both waterfall and agile domains with the latter preferred.
Preferred skills:
- Practical coding experience in Python and supporting infrastructure (e.g. ML / NLP libraries).
- Practical knowledge and experience in R or familiarity with complex statistical techniques used in big data projects.
- Experience in version control in big data– BitBucket or similar.
- Prior experience in cloud-based ecosystems such as Cloudera.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral via various media i.e. e-mail, phone, face to face and conference calls.
- Good communication skills to communicate at all levels – Country and Regional AFC teams, stakeholder management across multiple Operations Units and relevant parties in DBOI.
