Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive quality assurance (QA) testing for GoSystem and UltraTax products, including forms and MTB regression testing before and after product releases.
- Accurately document defects and issues in the tracking system, follow up with developers, and ensure their timely resolution and closure.
- Thoroughly test assigned states within defined timelines while maintaining quality benchmarks and compliance standards.
- Analyze locators and test scenarios to verify accurate tax calculations and validate system outputs against state guidelines and frequently asked questions (FAQs).
- Collaborate with business analysts (BAs) and managers to resolve issues, support cross-product training, and deliver ad hoc project requirements.
- Obtain XSD schemas from U.S. state and federal government sources and develop master schemas for each state.
- Map relevant codes and attributes from XSD schemas to the software to ensure accurate XML output generation.
- Apply appropriate schema and data mapping techniques to ensure accurate and compliant XML generation.
- Create diverse test scenarios using locators to validate software functionality and generate accurate XML outputs.
- Submit test samples to state jurisdictions and coordinate the forms and e-file approval process.
- Support U.S.-based developers with critical production support calls and tickets to ensure smooth and timely product releases.
- Stay updated on product changes, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards, and complete mandatory e-learning courses during available downtime.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possess a Graduate or Postgraduate degree in any discipline, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in U.S. tax technical concepts and tax compliance return preparation.
- Have hands-on experience with QA testing techniques, issue tracking, and regression testing.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, manage multiple tasks effectively, and meet project deadlines.
- Possess strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with developers, business analysts (BAs), and other stakeholders.
- Have basic knowledge of AI tools such as Copilot to improve efficiency and automate routine tasks.
- Ability to leverage AI tools for test case generation, data analysis, and process optimization.
- Demonstrate an understanding of AI-driven QA practices and a willingness to learn and adopt emerging technologies.
