Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile financial transactions, identify discrepancies, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy across all reconciliation and financial reporting activities.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of financial transactions, including bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
- Investigate discrepancies and variances, ensuring their timely resolution and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain reconciliation reports and supporting documentation in compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve outstanding reconciliation issues in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Understand client policies and procedures and apply them effectively to engagement delivery.
- Monitor actual performance against established plans and take appropriate actions to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Report significant issues, risks, and areas of concern to KGS leadership and, where appropriate, to clients in a timely manner.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve problems and issues to minimize operational risks and ensure smooth delivery.
- Actively participate in operational excellence initiatives by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, brainstorming new ideas, and implementing effective solutions.
- Evaluate opportunities for improvement, apply industry best practices and benchmarks, plan for contingencies, and ensure timely delivery of assigned activities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Required Skills:
- 1–5 years of experience in financial reconciliation, accounting, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of financial reconciliation processes, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and other advanced functions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when handling financial data.
- Excellent command of business English, both written and spoken; native-level proficiency is preferred.
- Experience working in shared services or outsourcing environments is preferred, particularly within the Insurance, Banking, or Asset Management industries.
- Prior audit experience is an added advantage.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage and communicate with senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with automation and analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, or RPA solutions is preferred.
- Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and other applicable accounting standards is an added advantage.
- Awareness of regulatory and compliance guidelines, applicable legislation, procedures, and business processes.
- A background in the Financial Services industry, with exposure to Banking Operations and Risk Management within a global service delivery environment, is preferred.
