Key Responsibilities:
- Translate Emerson’s digital transformation objectives into scalable and executable AI agent development initiatives.
- Develop AI-enabled applications and agent-based solutions to support business and operational needs.
- Design, implement, and maintain AI agents within the Ovation Intelligence ecosystem.
- Collaborate with AI engineers, software developers, and domain subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and enhance AI agents.
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of the Agent Builder platform for creating custom AI agents that support diagnostics, automation, engineering workflows, and operational activities.
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and effectiveness of AI agents to improve operator awareness, reduce troubleshooting time, enhance engineering productivity, and enable predictive maintenance workflows.
- Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, User Experience (UX), Quality Assurance (QA), and domain SMEs to define AI agent use cases and deployment strategies.
- Partner with Cybersecurity teams to ensure AI-driven solutions comply with Emerson’s security standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to align compute resources, GPU utilization, and performance requirements for AI solutions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), or a related field.
- 1–5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML model development, deployment, and optimization, with a proven ability to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.
- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent-based architectures, and industrial AI applications.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud and on-premises architectures, APIs, and enterprise software development practices.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, testing, validation, and deployment processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, and their practical applications.
- Proficiency in C#, Python, and AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Hands-on experience deploying AI solutions in real-world industrial environments.
- Prior experience working with Emerson Ovation, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, or power plant operations.
- Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) networks, cybersecurity principles, and safety-critical system constraints.
- Experience deploying AI solutions in regulated or mission-critical environments.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices, prompt engineering techniques, and AI reliability frameworks.
