Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end execution of small and mid-sized projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Analyze customer inputs and understand requirements, including design specifications, technical specifications, and application requirements.
- Design and draft control panels, including General Arrangement (GA), power wiring, and I/O drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare cabinet GA drawings, system architecture layouts, and I/O wiring diagrams for control system projects.
- Develop and configure SCADA systems using CIMPLICITY and Movicon for process and infrastructure projects.
- Perform HMI configuration and customization based on project requirements.
- Develop PLC logic and control strategies for automation systems.
- Write, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Ladder Logic and Function Block Diagram (FBD).
- Implement data logging, trending, and reporting solutions using Proficy Historian.
- Develop VB and VBA scripts for customized reporting and efficient data handling.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with customers to validate system functionality and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain as-built documentation for completed projects.
- Provide startup and commissioning support to ensure smooth deployment and operational readiness of systems.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possess 1–3 years of relevant work experience in PLC-based applications across process industries, primary sectors, infrastructure, packaging, and OEM-based application projects.
- Demonstrate hands-on exposure to DCS design and engineering projects, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemical, and Petrochemical industries.
- Have a strong understanding of industrial automation systems, PLC applications, and control system engineering concepts.
- Exhibit the ability to work effectively on engineering, design, and project execution activities related to industrial automation projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages, including Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Sequential Function Chart (SFC).
- Good understanding of Control System Architecture and industrial automation systems.
- Hands-on experience with PLC/DCS hardware systems and related components.
- Proficiency in SCADA and HMI configuration, development, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and similar technologies.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other equivalent engineering/design tools.
- Understanding of the complete project lifecycle, including engineering, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and system handover.
- Ability to recognize, adapt, and respond effectively to dynamic project and operational demands.
- Strong ability to collaborate and communicate with people across different levels of the organization.
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented approach towards work and workplace challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good hands-on experience with MS Office applications, including MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio.
