Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team by gathering data, performing analyses, validating reports, and providing ad-hoc decision support, while demonstrating strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.
- Extract, process, and analyze data from relational databases and reporting systems to generate actionable insights.
- Proactively identify business problems and opportunities, conduct root cause analysis, develop hypotheses, and translate data findings into meaningful insights, presenting recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and maintain reports, analyses, and dashboards to support data-driven business decision-making.
- Build predictive models and evaluate results to generate insights for leadership across various operational groups at United Airlines.
- Prepare and deliver presentations that effectively summarize data insights and support decision-making for business partners and senior leadership.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Is currently pursuing or has recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrates a strong interest in data analytics and problem-solving.
- Possesses basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
- Has working knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data, with familiarity in tools such as Teradata, MS SQL Server, or Databricks considered an advantage.
- Has exposure to at least one programming language for data analysis, with a preference for Python.
- Shows awareness or hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or TIBCO Spotfire.
- Exhibits strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a continuous learning mindset.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Possesses good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Is legally authorized to work in India for any employer without the need for sponsorship.
- Maintains reliable and punctual attendance throughout the duration of the internship.
