Key Responsibilities:
- Draft the scope for the Data and Analytics workstream by understanding end-user requirements and defining relevant KPIs.
- Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), data mapping specifications, and refined Product Backlog Items (PBIs) with clearly defined user stories and acceptance criteria for data modelers and data engineers.
- Analyze delegated authority data sources through data profiling, exploratory queries, and quality validation to support medallion layer transformations within the data and analytics platform.
- Ensure that all quality criteria are defined and met for each requirement, evaluating them based on importance and stability.
- Perform thorough analysis of existing delegated authority reports and extracts by understanding data sources, transformations, and business logic for reuse, while identifying opportunities for new requirements and data specifications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, data modelers, and data architects to ensure mapping logic aligns with analytics, regulatory, and data governance requirements.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree
Required Skills:
- Demonstrate experience as a Business, System, or Data Analyst in delivering data projects within Property & Casualty (P&C) and Specialty Insurance domains, with exposure to Lloyd’s/London Market and Syndicate data structures.
- Possess domain knowledge of Delegated Authority, with experience in VIPR integration considered an advantage.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Have proficiency in Databricks Medallion Architecture, along with a solid understanding of logical and physical data modeling.
- Demonstrate proven ability to gather and document requirements, and produce detailed data mapping and transformation specifications.
- Possess a strong understanding of MGA and Lloyd’s Market operating models, including their unique challenges and requirements.
- Have a good understanding of GDPR, Solvency II, and Lloyd’s regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Possess functional knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks, which is considered an advantage.
