Key Responsibilities:
- Receive guidance to design and develop software solutions and functionalities that support business growth and operational objectives.
- Contribute to writing, developing, and testing application code as part of the software development process.
- Support the execution and maintenance of automated testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Follow instructions from stakeholders to assist in software deployment and release activities.
- Support the delivery of software components while collaborating closely with the product and development teams.
- Assist in integrating and building solutions through automation and coding while utilizing third-party software tools and platforms.
- Contribute to the development, building, and debugging of large-scale distributed systems under supervision.
- Support the preparation, updating, and maintenance of technical program documentation, end-user guides, and operational procedures.
- Assist in refactoring existing code to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Contribute to reviewing code written by other developers to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals is preferred.
- Relevant Agile certifications are considered an added advantage.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrate a developing understanding of cloud architecture and services across multiple public cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Possess strong programming knowledge in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, and Node.js, including experience with related libraries and frameworks.
- Exhibit developing expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design, along with strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
- Demonstrate a developing understanding of microservices-based software architecture and experience in API product development.
- Possess developing expertise in SQL and NoSQL data stores such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and Apache Cassandra.
- Have a developing understanding of container runtime technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, and LXC / LXD.
- Demonstrate developing proficiency in Agile and Lean practices and a strong belief in test-driven development principles.
- Possess a proactive, “can-do” attitude with the ability to take initiative and solve problems effectively.
- Exhibit the ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams with members from different backgrounds and experience levels.
- Demonstrate the ability to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced work environments.
- Have developing proficiency in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts and related tools.
- Possess developing proficiency in cloud-based infrastructure management and deployment practices.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality outcomes.
Required Experience:
- Possess moderate experience working with geographically distributed teams across innovation, bootstrapping, pilot, and production phases while collaborating with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Demonstrate moderate experience using tools across the full software delivery lifecycle, including IDEs, source control systems, CI tools, testing frameworks, mocking tools, work tracking systems, and defect management platforms.
- Have moderate experience working with Agile and Lean methodologies, Continuous Delivery / DevOps practices, and analytics or data-driven processes.
- Be familiar with handling large datasets and applying appropriate Machine Learning or AI algorithms when required.
- Demonstrate moderate experience in developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Possess moderate hands-on experience in software development and application delivery.
