Key Responsibilities:
- Tool Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize backend code and command-line interfaces (CLI) using Python and C++ to simplify complex engineering processes.
- Cross-Platform Engineering: Refactor legacy scripts to ensure reliable execution across Windows (WSL2) and Linux environments by replacing hardcoded operating system dependencies with dynamic environment variables.
- Data Interoperability: Work with JSON, XML, and YAML data formats to standardize communication and automated data exchange between different simulation tools.
- CI/CD & Automation: Develop automated validation scripts and linters for Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to identify errors, enforce coding standards, and prevent faulty code from affecting the platform.
- User Experience (DX): Improve internal tool usability by handling software exceptions and providing clear, user-friendly error messages and troubleshooting guidance.
- Testing & QA: Develop unit tests and support automated stress testing to ensure software packages install correctly and perform reliably under various conditions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Recent graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of experience are eligible.
Required Skills:
- Programming: Strong foundational programming skills in Python and/or C++.
- Operating Systems: Comfortable working with Linux and Windows command-line environments.
- Version Control & CI/CD: Familiarity with Git and a basic understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts.
- Data Handling: Basic knowledge of configuration files and data formats such as YAML and JSON.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and improve developer-focused tools.
- WSL: Familiarity with Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
- EDA & Simulation: Basic knowledge of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools, SystemC, or hardware simulation workflows.
- Scripting & Automation: Experience with Bash scripting or build automation tools.
