Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of firm-level Independence concepts and policies in accordance with EYG Independence standards.
  • Perform assigned procedures in compliance with EYG Independence policies and gain hands-on experience in research, analysis, and data updates within EY tools and databases.
  • Support client-serving and audit teams by maintaining accurate records and helping mitigate Independence-related risks.
  • Review submissions and requests received from client-serving teams to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Independence requirements.
  • Perform reconciliation, research, and analysis of information using EY Independence and financial tools, and update systems with accurate and validated data.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and audit or pursuit team members to follow up on requests, clarify information, and ensure timely completion of procedures.

Technical Expertise:

  • Build a comprehensive understanding of client company structures, including entity attributes, relationships, and applicability in line with audit client and affiliate definitions under EYG Independence policy.
  • Develop working knowledge of internal Independence and financial tools, systems, and databases used for compliance and reporting.
  • Analyze interdependencies between systems to identify discrepancies and ensure data consistency and synchronization.
  • Conduct secondary research using both internal and external databases to validate and enhance information accuracy.
  • Perform reconciliation, conduct research, and draft recommendations for review and approval by project managers.
  • Actively participate in knowledge calibration sessions, ask relevant questions, and proactively address any gaps in process understanding.
  • Consistently work toward achieving and exceeding defined individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance targets for the role.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Hold a Graduate, Master’s, or Postgraduate degree, preferably in the Finance domain, from a reputed institution.
  • Possess 0–1 year of experience in research and analysis, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrate exposure to client interactions, which will be considered an added advantage.
  • Exhibit strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with proficiency in both verbal and written English.
  • Have a basic understanding of company structures, ownership structures, auditor Independence requirements, and fundamental risk management concepts.
