Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of the DWTO Automation team within the Operations division, supporting Tax, MSAW, and E*TRADE operational functions, including Correspondence, Middle Office, and Margin.
- Develop strong domain knowledge and business understanding across DWTO operational functions.
- Gain an understanding of Morgan Stanley’s diverse businesses and client segments, including Institutional, Wealth Management, Retirement Services, and Stock Plan programs.
- Collaborate with end users to identify automation opportunities and design, develop, and implement optimal solutions using firm-approved automation tools such as UiPath, Power BI, Alteryx, VBA, and related technologies.
- Debug, enhance, and maintain existing production automation tools to ensure stability and performance.
- Prepare and deliver management reports and regular status updates for senior leadership.
- Report directly to the Automation Team Manager and align activities with team objectives.
- Execute operational processes and support process management and project initiatives by leveraging knowledge of systems, markets, and financial instruments relevant to the function.
- Identify risks in day-to-day operations, highlight key issues, and contribute to continuous process improvement efforts.
- Build strong relationships with team members and internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge to enhance overall team performance.
- Participate in projects and initiatives, contributing to solution design and ensuring timely and effective execution.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Demonstrates the ability to set clear goals and priorities and to resolve non-standard issues within their area of expertise with minimal guidance or supervision.
- Possesses strong subject matter expertise in the supported business area, with a solid understanding of client requirements while ensuring control frameworks and compliance standards are not compromised.
- Acts as a culture carrier within Operations by consistently demonstrating and promoting the firm’s core values.
- Exhibits strong analytical capabilities with the ability and willingness to learn and apply complex technical regulations, business processes, and solution frameworks.
- Brings 2+ years of experience in program or project management, process engineering, or strategic initiatives.
- Is highly detail-oriented, with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates relevant technical knowledge and hands-on experience in applicable tools and technologies.
- Prior experience with tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, UiPath, Excel/Access, VBA, SQL, Python, databases, DataIKU, XML, HTML, or similar technologies is advantageous.
- Possesses excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience within a financial services environment is preferred.
