Key Responsibilities:
Test Strategy and Leadership:
- Define and own the overall test strategy for firmware and Wi-Fi features.
- Lead and mentor embedded and test engineers by providing technical guidance and conducting design and test reviews.
- Collaborate with firmware, hardware, cloud, mobile application, and product teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Drive test planning, estimation, risk analysis, and defect triage across multiple product releases.
Firmware Testing:
- Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, and system testing for firmware features.
- Validate Wi-Fi device models and standards, including Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, and Wi-Fi 7.
- Perform network switch testing and configuration validation.
- Validate Wi-Fi features, including RADIUS, GRE sizing, authentication sessions, AAA load, QoS, catalog, data-center mapping, failover, SCPS, and adaptation.
Automation and Tooling:
- Drive test automation using Python scripting frameworks and continuous integration (CI) pipelines.
- Utilize Wi-Fi testing chambers to validate device performance and functionality under controlled conditions.
- Guide the team in using debugging and network analysis tools, including Wireshark and other protocol analyzers.
- Define and track quality metrics, including defect leakage, pass rates, system stability, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
