Key Responsibilities:
- Support and execute project delivery from proposal through to final delivery and site acceptance.
- Design and implement wired and wireless networks for DeltaV and IT systems.
- Install and administer Windows systems in a domain environment, including remote access configuration.
- Install and administer DeltaV systems.
- Perform virtualisation of DeltaV systems within a Windows OS environment.
- Provide first-line support for troubleshooting DeltaV and IT hardware and software issues.
- Analyse and understand customer requirements to support solution design and delivery.
- Participate in customer-facing workshops to discuss OT designs and solutions.
- Raise and manage technical queries to ensure clarity on scope and requirements.
- Develop system architecture, network, and cybersecurity-related designs and documentation.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers.
- Escalate project issues and risks to the Lead Engineer or Project Manager, along with appropriate mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with overseas offices for scope and schedule understanding, technical query clarification, review meetings, and progress reporting.
- Take full ownership and accountability for allocated tasks.
- Be available to travel for assignments at various customer locations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative environment within the team to support effective work and professional growth.
- Perform base customer support activities as needed, including phone support, field service, and remote diagnostics, and coordinate with Emerson Field Support Engineers, regional offices, and expert resources to resolve issues.
- Continually and proactively enhance technical capabilities and build higher levels of expertise.
- Contribute to increasing the value of the OT & Cyber team by supporting additional group activities, helping develop new internal/external solutions, and assisting with skills development initiatives.
Other Duties:
- Perform additional specific duties as requested by the business, typically strategic in nature, within the scope of the role holder’s qualifications and experience.
- Undertake assigned tasks under the guidance and supervision of a designated supervisor, as required.
Technical Skills:
- Possess a strong understanding of ISO-OSI layers and the PERDUE architecture model.
- Demonstrate knowledge of network switches, routers, and firewall configuration, programming, and hardening.
- Experienced in Windows Server 2016 / 2022 administration, including domain setup, Remote Desktop Services configuration, Microsoft patch management, and related troubleshooting.
- Proficient in Group Policy Management for centralized configuration and security enforcement.
- Knowledgeable in backup and recovery solutions such as Acronis.
- Experienced with antivirus and application whitelisting solutions (e.g., McAfee, Symantec).
- Skilled in Windows Server administration, at MSCA level or equivalent.
- Skilled in Windows 10 administration, at MSCA level or equivalent.
- Knowledgeable in networking, at the level of Cisco CCENT/CCNA Routing & Switching, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent.
- Knowledgeable in cybersecurity, at the level of CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with virtualization technologies, particularly Hyper-V and HCI.
- Understanding of IEC 62443 standards for industrial cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of NMS, NSM, SIEM, data diodes, and related security monitoring tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with OPC, Modbus, and other TCP/IP-based industrial communication protocols (considered an added advantage).
Quality Control & Assurance:
- Implement EEEC IMS processes and documentation as required throughout project execution.
- Adhere to WA quality requirements and customer-specific regulatory guidelines.
- Practice and promote a “first time right” approach to deliverables and tasks.
- Strictly follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in all project and operational documentation.
