Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage advanced data analytics models to optimize supply chain strategies, ensuring a balance between customer satisfaction, operational costs, and asset efficiency.
- Leverage data analytics to identify improvement opportunities and drive impactful results in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Build strong relationships across Walmart functional areas to identify best practices, gather inputs, coordinate interdisciplinary initiatives, and secure support for data-driven recommendations.
- Lead discussions with business partners and management to gain alignment and support for data-centric projects, driving necessary organizational change.
- Utilize all available data resources effectively to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Communicate data insights clearly and persuasively through emails, presentations, and verbal discussions, tailoring communication methods to the target audience.
- Partner with multiple supply chain business teams to proactively identify, assess, and implement cost-saving and service improvement opportunities using advanced data analytics.
- Apply advanced analytics models to derive insights that inform policy design across supply chain areas, performing scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to scale and productionize advanced analytics models as required.
- Develop and deliver compelling data-driven narratives, documents, and visuals to influence key stakeholders in decision-making.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and training support to other team members in supply chain analytics, sharing expertise in advanced data analytics.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong analytical acumen with technical expertise in advanced data analytics and modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL and cloud-based data platforms such as BigQuery.
- Expertise in programming with Python or R.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and Looker to generate impactful insights.
- Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing tools such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, and Spark.
- Familiarity with cloud environments including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Solid business understanding with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with the ability to lead or mentor teams.
