Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the onboarding of new deployment types for Ansible Automation Platform and Ansible Lightspeed use cases into the Continuous Performance Testing framework, including AAP on OCP and cloud marketplace offerings.
- Develop tools to generate load on applications within the Ansible Automation Platform for performance testing.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality engineering (QE) teams to automate the deployment and configuration of the Ansible Automation Platform.
- Automate the collection and analysis of monitoring data and logs to assess and characterize system performance.
- Work closely with software developers to enhance code performance through algorithm redesign, reduced resource utilization, and improved latency.
- Provide visibility into performance and scaling challenges by developing tools to assess various features and determine key performance parameters.
- Proactively identify scale-related issues and collaborate with Application Operations and Engineering teams to implement resolutions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred skills:
- Ability to work full-time with dedication and focus.
- Proficient in working with UNIX or Linux operating systems (across various distributions).
- Experienced with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Skilled in automating software deployment and testing processes.
- Experienced in test data visualization and analysis techniques.
- Over 1 year of experience in software development or software testing.
- Proficient in programming languages such as C or Python.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiar with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
