Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Aerospace business in local product development and provide product stewardship engineering services to global engineering teams.
- Analyse and understand customer requirements related to product compliance and ensure their effective implementation across relevant projects.
- Collaborate closely with India-based and global cross-functional teams, including Project Engineering, Quality, Plant Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales.
- Monitor project progress and deliverables, track achievements, and provide regular updates on development and support activities.
- Demonstrate curiosity and a proactive approach to researching upcoming regulatory requirements and communicating relevant findings to the team.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives and adopt digital and automation tools to enhance process efficiency.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 0-1 year of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate curiosity and a keen interest in product stewardship within relevant industrial, automotive, or product and process engineering environments.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of fundamental engineering, scientific, and mathematical concepts, including materials, weight, volume, density, mass, units, and measurement methods.
- Basic theoretical knowledge of Product Stewardship and relevant regulatory requirements, including AD-DSL, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS, Proposition 65 (Prop 65), and other applicable regulations, with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements.
- Energetic, proactive, and willing to collaborate with local and global suppliers on compliance-related data collection and management activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Good understanding of automation and continuous improvement practices. Knowledge of dashboards and digital tools is highly desirable.
