Key Responsibilities:
- Support the establishment of policies, standards, and processes that enable effective risk data aggregation and reporting capabilities appropriate to the bank’s size, complexity, and risk profile.
- Drive and monitor adherence to Risk Reporting Policies, and support the development of related procedures and training programs.
- Facilitate the development of risk reporting business requirements in collaboration with report owners and key stakeholders.
- Support the operation of centralized consumption-layer controls and assist in overseeing the implementation and execution of decentralized controls.
- Support the design and implementation of data and technology infrastructure that meets reporting requirements and ensures the accurate capture and reporting of material risks, risk concentrations, and emerging risks.
- Support the execution of a standardized periodic assessment framework, conducted at least annually, to evaluate the effectiveness of risk reporting systems, tools, and processes and ensure continuous improvement in response to evolving data sources and regulatory expectations.
- Support the preparation and production of Risk Appetite and Business Unit (BU) Risk Appetite Reports for presentation to the Board and senior management committees.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 0–2 years of experience in risk management, analytics, or a related discipline, preferably from a Tier 1 institution.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to apply quantitative methods and business knowledge to generate insights and drive results.
- Familiarity with BCBS 239 principles and OCC Heightened Standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex and diverse information into comprehensive and well-structured conclusions for colleagues, business partners, and senior leaders.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a matrix organization while collaborating with business partners, functional owners, capability teams, technology teams, and external vendors.
- Strong and methodical approach to problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, and collaboration across teams and geographical locations.
- Proactive approach to identifying issues, communicating and escalating key findings, and recommending appropriate solutions to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
