Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and apply tax compliance process standards across various corporate and partnership projects from initiation through completion.
- Facilitate tax data collection and document management to support the preparation of basic tax returns and related deliverables. Analyze and process tax and financial data using KPMG’s proprietary tax technology tools to prepare accurate client deliverables.
- Manage and complete multiple tasks within defined timelines while adhering to established quality control standards.
- Collaborate with engagement leads through effective communication and teamwork to achieve common goals and deliver high-quality client service.
- Participate in periodic training programs and professional development activities to enhance technical and professional skills.
- Apply knowledge and skills gained through training to optimize the use of tax technology, improve processes, and enhance the quality of tax deliverables and services provided.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an MBA in Finance from a reputable university, with an excellent academic record and a specialization in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of annual U.S. federal and state tax return compliance requirements for corporate and partnership entities.
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and engagement teams.
- Strong attention to project details, timelines, and work quality, along with a professional work ethic to successfully complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple assignments based on provided instructions while meeting or exceeding expectations in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to prepare basic single-entity federal, state, and international tax returns using tax software, technology tools, and provided inputs for complex tax items.
- Ability to perform effective self-review to ensure accurate, high-quality work products with minimal errors.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, communicate, and resolve issues of basic complexity.
- Ability to apply knowledge gained through training programs and effectively interpret and apply a range of tax concepts.
