Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to financial processes, including Accounts Receivable, expenditures, and healthcare transaction flows such as 835, 834, and capitation.
- Conduct research and analysis to understand business needs and translate them into detailed functional and design documentation.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to elicit, validate, and prioritize requirements while ensuring clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
- Translate business needs into actionable objectives and requirements for technical teams and delivery stakeholders.
- Support business process re-engineering initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and overall process performance.
- Develop and maintain requirement artifacts, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flow diagrams.
- Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools for analysis, tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Support testing activities by validating requirements, reviewing test results, and assisting with defect identification and triage.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide clear communication and regular updates to both business and technical audiences.
- Ensure all deliverables are aligned with Gainwell’s quality, documentation, and process standards.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 4–8 years of experience working in a Business Analyst role.
- At least 1 year of experience working in the Medicaid financial domain.
- Strong knowledge of financial processes, including Accounts Receivable, expenditures, and healthcare transactions such as 835, 834, and capitation.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis, validation, and documentation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience working with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools or similar requirements-tracking tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform data-driven analysis.
- Experience in business process analysis, optimization, and re-engineering.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business users, technical teams, and leadership.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a matrixed enterprise environment.
- Experience working with Medicaid programs or state healthcare systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare financial systems and revenue cycle processes.
- Experience with data reporting, data validation, and data quality analysis.
- Exposure to Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
