Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and contribute to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives aimed at improving the reliability, scalability, and developer efficiency of enterprise systems.
  • Assist in building and maintaining distributed systems that support AI-powered enterprise products and services while gaining exposure to modern architectural patterns.
  • Support the automation of database operations, including provisioning, scaling, backup, and failover for relational and vector database services.
  • Contribute to observability and monitoring initiatives by developing dashboards, alerts, and automation scripts to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including issue triage, troubleshooting, and resolution, while contributing to efforts to reduce Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) and supporting post-incident reviews.
  • Collaborate with Cloud, Platform, Security, and AI/ML teams to support platform reliability and implement SRE best practices.
  • Learn to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex systems, including Kubernetes-based and cloud-native infrastructure, while following established system design and incident management standards.
  • Explore and adopt AI-assisted engineering practices, including coding agents and LLM-powered tools, to improve development efficiency and accelerate day-to-day engineering workflows.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, such as Physics or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Foundational proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Go.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation through coursework or practical experience, or a willingness to learn them.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals, and version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of observability concepts, including logging, metrics, and tracing, with exposure to tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including SQL, indexing, and basic query optimisation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to ask relevant questions, collaborate effectively, and learn from experienced engineers.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience through personal projects, internships, or coursework involving cloud infrastructure, automation, DevOps, or SRE practices.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in hackathons, coding competitions, or technical communities.
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts, such as building or deploying basic machine learning models, experimenting with LLM APIs, or using AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation scripting, or container orchestration through academic, personal, or professional projects.
  • Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and initiative, with the ability to embrace challenges and explore unfamiliar systems and technologies.
