Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyse operational data from various cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate historical business performance.
- Identify data patterns, trends, and key insights to enhance business decision-making in areas such as business planning, process improvement, and solution assessment.
- Recommend actions for future development, strategic business opportunities, and enhancements to operational policies and processes.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis, and qualitative analysis as required.
- Translate data into consumer and customer behavioural insights to support targeting and segmentation strategies, and communicate findings clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders.
- Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, analytical tools, and capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external business partners to build, implement, monitor, and improve decision-making strategies.
- Appropriately assess and manage risks when making business decisions, with particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and the protection of its clients and assets.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and organisational policies while exercising sound ethical judgment in all business practices.
- Identify, manage, escalate, and report control issues transparently and in a timely manner.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or University degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
Required Skills:
- Data Analysis & Process Improvement: Strong expertise in statistical analysis, data mining, process mapping, and process re-engineering methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma. Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau and QlikView to identify trends and effectively present insights.
- Automation & Programming: Experience with automation and data processing tools such as SAS and PySpark, along with programming languages such as Python and SQL, to develop and implement automated solutions for operational processes.
- Business Acumen & Communication: Strong understanding of business operations and financial metrics, with the ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Customer Focus & Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse customer feedback, including complaints and sentiment, identify pain points, and develop solutions to enhance the customer experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges effectively.
- Domain Expertise (Finance/Banking): Knowledge of financial services operations, regulatory requirements such as KYC and AML, and industry best practices is highly beneficial.
