Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Python-based services and API-first capabilities to support configuration workflows, command previews, approvals, scheduling, execution, and change history.
- Build and integrate Angular-based user interfaces for device selection, workflow input management, change previews, and execution result reviews.
- Integrate with Cisco IQ platform services for device inventory, validation, identity and access management, messaging, storage, observability, and device connectivity.
- Contribute to the implementation of secure and reliable multi-device orchestration, including batching, concurrency controls, per-device reporting, partial-failure handling, and rollback mechanisms.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in code reviews and collaborating across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through deployment and production support.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Programming experience in Python gained through academic coursework, internships, personal projects, or similar practical experience.
- Foundational understanding of software engineering principles, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and software testing.
- Basic exposure to web application development, RESTful APIs, and structured data formats such as JSON and YAML.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development practices, along with a willingness to learn from feedback and continuously improve.
Preferred Skills:
- Project or internship experience with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, API specifications such as OpenAPI, or data validation libraries such as Pydantic.
- Experience with Angular, TypeScript, or other modern component-based front-end frameworks, along with foundational knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Exposure to cloud-native development and deployment technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals, network automation, or Cisco device platforms such as IOS XE, IOS XR, or NX-OS.
- Interest in distributed systems, workflow orchestration, secure application development, and building reliable customer-facing software in a collaborative team environment.
