Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and contribute to the development and maintenance of automated UI and API test scripts.
- Assist in executing functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing scenarios.
- Work with automation frameworks and tools built using Java, C#, Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright.
- Support the validation of web applications, REST APIs, and backend services across multiple environments.
- Perform database validations to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
- Write and execute basic SQL queries to validate application data and test results.
- Analyze test execution results and assist in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
- Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives.
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous testing activities using Jenkins pipelines.
- Assist in improving test automation coverage, test reliability, and overall product quality.
- Learn and apply software development and testing best practices under the guidance of experienced engineering teams.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts, testing methodologies, and quality assurance practices.
- Knowledge of programming fundamentals with exposure to Java and/or C#.
- Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Basic understanding of API testing concepts and RESTful services.
- Understanding of relational databases and fundamental database testing concepts.
- Familiarity with SQL queries for data retrieval, validation, and verification.
- Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser-based applications.
- Exposure to Git or other version control systems.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and familiarity with tools such as Jenkins is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies, testing methodologies, and automation practices.
- Good written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
