Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor a portfolio of EMEA corporate clients across diverse industries by assessing, grading, and reviewing credit risk exposures.
  • Track financial performance, earnings announcements, liquidity, covenant compliance, and other key developments that may impact the assigned client portfolio.
  • Monitor portfolio and counterparty risk metrics while contributing to sector analysis and early warning risk assessments.
  • Participate in due diligence activities for onboarding new EMEA corporate clients and reviewing existing clients by analyzing business models, cash flow generation, debt capacity, and refinancing risks.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and well-structured credit memos with recommendations on credit facilities, limits, tenor, covenants, collateral, security, and intercreditor arrangements.
  • Support the evaluation and approval of leveraged finance and lending transactions, including revolving credit facilities (RCFs), term loans, and bond issuances.
  • Develop a strong understanding of legal documentation related to corporate banking products, including credit agreements, bond indentures, intercreditor agreements, and security and guarantee packages.
  • Contribute to team and departmental initiatives aimed at improving processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and leveraging AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to optimize workflows.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret and analyze corporate financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Possess knowledge of cash flow modeling and valuation techniques, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis.
  • Have a broad understanding of macroeconomic trends and industry factors affecting corporate and leveraged finance borrowers.
  • Possess a basic understanding of lending, capital markets, derivatives, leveraged finance, and covenant structures.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build strong working relationships with internal business partners and credit officers.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present clear, decision-oriented analyses.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt effectively to changing business needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across global locations, including London, Frankfurt, Paris, and Mumbai.

Preferred Skills:

  • Have prior experience in Credit Risk, leveraged finance underwriting, cash flow modeling, or financial analysis.
  • Possess an understanding of corporate business models, sponsor-backed transactions, and covenant structures.
  • Knowledge of a second European language, such as French, German, Italian, or Spanish, will be considered an added advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM will be considered an added advantage.
  • Hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, STEM, or a related discipline.
