Key Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the development of comprehensive test plans for Layer 0 (DWDM) and Layer 1 (OTN, Ethernet) across long-haul, DCI, and metro optical systems.
- Executes protocol-based testing for L0 and L1 features, including FCAPS, NBI automation, and system security.
- Participates in the system development lifecycle by analyzing requirements and translating them into detailed and effective test plans.
- Supports the evaluation and qualification of next-generation operating systems aligned with modern architectures such as microservices and containerization.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to prioritize test scenarios based on customer needs and accelerate feature delivery.
- Designs and implements automated test scenarios using standard programming tools to ensure scalable and repeatable test execution.
- Drives continuous testing practices to enhance system reliability and overall product quality.
- Takes ownership of product qualification deliverables, demonstrating accountability and a proactive, self-driven approach.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), or a related field, with strong academic performance and over 3 years of experience in embedded optical network element system testing.
- Demonstrates hands-on experience in technologies such as OTN, Ethernet, GMPLS, DWDM, and NBI interfaces including CLI, NETCONF, RESTCONF, gRPC, along with system security.
- Possesses strong expertise in test planning, test execution, and defect tracking using standard configuration and test management tools.
- Demonstrates strong programming skills in Python or a similar language for developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Has practical experience working with NBI interfaces (CLI, NETCONF, RESTCONF, gRPC) in embedded system environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Shows understanding of system control plane concepts and working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking products.
- Demonstrates familiarity with testing microservices and container-based applications.
- Has experience using collaboration and development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
