Key Responsibilities:
- Support test preparation by reviewing business and functional requirements to understand scope, as well as regulatory and control impacts.
- Assist in designing, documenting, and maintaining test cases and test scripts, ensuring comprehensive coverage and clear traceability to requirements and controls.
- Contribute to the development of test plans, including defining execution schedules, environments, and entry and exit criteria.
- Execute system, functional, and regression test cases, ensuring accurate and consistent recording of test results.
- Log defects with clear and reproducible steps, including relevant data, and perform retesting once fixes are implemented.
- Maintain up-to-date defect logs, participate in defect triage discussions, and collaborate with Technology teams to clarify and resolve issues.
- Capture, organize, and maintain test evidence in accordance with governance standards to ensure audit readiness and proper version control.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles by coordinating with business users, addressing queries, and consolidating test results and sign-offs.
- Assist in validating control outputs, exception reports, and regulatory reporting changes from a testing perspective.
- Demonstrate a methodical and process-driven approach to work, with strong organizational skills, clear written communication, and proactive escalation of risks or issues, particularly within tight regulatory timelines.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possess 2–5 years of experience in testing/QA or change delivery within Financial Services, or equivalent internship exposure.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change management lifecycle, including UAT support and release processes.
- Exhibit hands-on experience in executing structured system, functional, and regression test cases.
- Show proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, ALM, Zephyr, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrate disciplined defect lifecycle management, including clear logging, classification, tracking, and retesting of issues.
- Possess the ability to interpret business and functional requirements and translate them into test conditions and expected outcomes.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and documentation practices, ensuring traceability and audit-ready test evidence.
- Demonstrate comfort in working with datasets, including validating calculations and verifying report outputs for accuracy.
- Show awareness of regulatory and control requirements, and their impact on test coverage and evidence documentation.
- Have exposure to Global Markets or trading environments, including front-to-back workflows (preferred but not mandatory).
