Key Responsibilities:
Test Requirement Understanding and Test Case Design:
- Demonstrate strong understanding of product test requirements and contribute to effective test case design.
- Author comprehensive test plans based on business requirements and corresponding testable scenarios.
- Implement Wipro’s testing methodology using Model-Based Testing to enable efficient test generation.
- Ensure all test cases undergo peer review to minimize rework and maintain quality standards.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify, capture, and maintain version-controlled test cases.
- Define testing criteria, parameters, scope, and out-of-scope areas, and actively participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Automate appropriate stages of the test lifecycle using tools and techniques such as VB macros, scheduling mechanisms, and GUI automation.
Automation Framework Design and Test Execution:
- Design and implement automation frameworks and reporting mechanisms to support software validation.
- Develop and automate test cases by setting up test environments, creating test plans, and executing test scenarios and use cases.
- Ensure defects are logged in accordance with project, program, or account standards, including clear descriptions and reproducible steps.
- Identify bugs, prepare defect reports, and track test progress throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Deliver work items within defined SLAs and project norms, ensuring no rejections or delays.
- Design and release test status dashboards at the end of each test cycle to keep stakeholders informed.
- Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, analyze results against quality risks, and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
Status Reporting and Customer Engagement:
- Maintain high-quality customer interactions through clear email communication, accurate fault report tracking, professional voice calls, and adherence to business etiquette.
- Ensure timely delivery of Weekly Status Reports (WSRs), test execution reports, and dashboard updates within the test management repository.
- Record accurate effort updates in tools such as eCube, TMS, and other project tracking systems.
- Respond promptly to customer requests and ensure there are no internal or external complaints related to testing deliverables.
